• Sherean Jones

    Writer & Director

    Sherean is a writer and filmmaker from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After receiving her BFA in Public Relations and Marketing at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland, Sherean moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a writer/director. Sherean is receiving her MFA in Film and TV Production from USC and developing her thesis project; The Dolla Party is a labor of love. This passion project is a love letter to the city that made Sherean who she is. She’s excited to tell this heartwarming grounded comedy about young black girls who are often overlooked when they come from places like Philadelphia, exploring girlhood and self-acceptance.

  • Gianna Brown

    Producer

    Gianna Brown is a Writer/Producer from West Philadelphia. Born and raised by a Southern Belle and a retired street pharmacist she grew up with paperbacks feeding her hunger for entertainment, and after digesting hours of cartoons and sitcoms, her appetite grew for film and television. She became obsessed with stories about fearless women, underdogs, and dreamers. Her work is focused on celebrating the trials and triumphs of Black life as a way of fighting the erasure and minimization of culture.

  • Redd Coltrane

    Redd Coltrane is an artist and filmmaker from Columbus, Ohio. Redd’s artistic career began in music, studying as a classical double bassist and pianist. While attending Columbia University and The Juilliard School, Redd fell in love with filmmaking through producing and directing his first feature length documentary, Midwestern Atoll, and is now finishing an MFA in Film & Television Production at USC. He has a passion for championing stories that explore love in all of its forms and illuminate perspectives often left unheard.

  • Chisom Chieke

    Chisom Chieke is a Nigerian-American dramedy producer who's had a passion for storytelling for as long as she can remember. Chisom often produces from the perspective of rejects and misfits, bringing a fresh view and canny wit to Black storytelling. She is a 2nd Rounder for Sundance’s TV Development Track, Official Selection at the Sabira Cole Film Festival, and creator of A Very Black Film Festival.

  • Pages Matam

    PAGES Matam (They/he) is a genderqueer med-school dropout turned award-winning multi-hyphenate born and raised in Cameroon, Central Africa. A multi-lingual pleasure advocate and agent of imagination with over a decade in arts education & programming, they love battle horror anime and fried plantains as much as crafting poetry and high-concept Dramas as a writer-director & producer, centering Queer Black liberation and their immigrant experience as fueled by Toni Morrison’s words: “the function of freedom is to free someone else.”

  • Daniel Farias

    Daniel Farias was born in Orange County, California on January 23, 1993. The child of Mexican immigrants, Daniel has lived in Southern California his entire life. He graduated from Cal State Long Beach in 2017 with a bachelors in Film and Television Production. After graduating, he worked briefly in reality television. That same year, he also started performing stand-up comedy, along with making comedic short form content on the internet. He does both of these activities to this day. Daniel applied to USC during the pandemic and has been a student at the university since early 2022. With his comedy and content, Daniel wishes to achieve two things. First, he wants to make people laugh. Second, he wants to make people think.
